Eat & Shop Local
Small businesses are the heartbeat of the City of Fort Lauderdale. They represent the grit, creativity, and diversity that define Fort Lauderdale. This year, the Economic Development Division is elevating the movement by making the Eat & Shop Local campaign the cornerstone of our National Small Business Week celebration.
On May 5, 2026, the City Commission officially proclaimed May 3–9 as National Small Business Week. We aren’t just promoting storefronts; we are investing in the innovators who make our city a world-class destination to live, work, and play.
