What is I Am Sistrunk?
The I Am Sistrunk branding campaign was created to unify and uplift the Sistrunk Corridor, a historic area known for its resilience, culture and progress.
The campaign highlights heritage and legacy, community ownership, economic empowerment, cultural vibrancy and innovation and progress. It is an open-source design, intentionally created to be owned by the people; residents, business owners and community leaders, so they can incorporate it into storefronts, signage, social campaigns and beautification projects. By empowering the community to take ownership of the brand, I Am Sistrunk fosters a shared identity that honors the past while building a stronger future.
The visual identity is bold and vibrant, drawing inspiration from the corridor’s murals, historical landmarks and entrepreneurial spirit. The logo serves as a unifying symbol, appearing throughout the corridor to create a recognizable and consistent presence. Future initiatives include branding workshops, artist collaborations and grant-supported programs to further establish the brand in public spaces and business districts.
Looking ahead, the brand is expected to serve as a catalyst for growth, attracting businesses, investors and cultural events. Through partnerships with local businesses, city officials and organizations, the I Am Sistrunk campaign will continue to be a symbol of progress and pride for future generations.
Sistrunk Community Talks
Sistrunk Community Talks is part of the I AM Sistrunk initiative and serves as an engagement series focused on strengthening economic opportunity in the historic Sistrunk area through ongoing dialogue with residents and businesses.
The series builds on input gathered through the Sistrunk Empowerment Summit and continued community conversations. Feedback shared through these sessions helps guide strategy, coordination, and next steps.
What the Community Shared
Through engagement efforts, more than 400 residents, business owners, and partners contributed feedback on priorities for the area.
Recurring themes include:
• Stronger support for small and microbusinesses
• Clearer access to City programs and resources
• Workforce pathways and youth opportunity
• Neighborhood safety and infrastructure improvements
• Pride in Sistrunk’s cultural history and identity
• Consistent communication and visible follow through
How Community Input Is Shaping Action

• Future Community Talk topics and sequencing
• Improvements to program navigation and communication

• Refinement of engagement practices for broader application
